Photo Safari with a Personal Guide Book

A photo safari with a personal guide in Oppdal is tailored for those interested in nature photography who wish to spend quality time photographing musk oxen in their natural habitat. With many years of experience from musk ox safaris, we have developed a concept where photography is the main focus, and where pace and route are adapted to light conditions, weather, and participants’ preferences.

What can you expect from a photo safari with a personal guide?

Together with experienced guides, we facilitate excellent observation opportunities and safe encounters with musk oxen, always with respect for both wildlife and participants. For the best photographic conditions, we recommend overnight camping in tents, allowing us to take advantage of both morning and evening light. It also provides more time in the mountains and a calmer wilderness experience.

Dovrefjell offers rich wildlife, and along the way it may also be possible to spot wild reindeer, Arctic foxes, and various mountain birds. To ensure the best possible photography experience and minimal disturbance, the photo safari is conducted in small groups, with a recommended maximum of 5–6 participants.
