What can you expect on a guided musk ox safari in Dovrefjell?
The tour takes place in the spectacular landscape of Dovrefjell and is moderately demanding. The duration depends on where the musk oxen are located on the specific day. Along the way, the guides share knowledge about flora, fauna and the history of the area, and you may also spot wild reindeer, birds of prey and beautiful lichen during the hike.
For the safety of both animals and participants, a minimum distance of 200 metres is maintained at all times. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the tour, but in certain situations the dog and owner may need to keep a greater distance. Please remember to bring waste bags, as this is a protected national park.
