Moose Safari with a Personal Guide Book

oppdalsafari.no/Torbjørn Martinsen

On a moose safari with a personal guide in Oppdal, you will enjoy a tailored nature experience focused on observing moose in their natural habitat. The tour is arranged at a time that suits you and is planned according to light conditions, season, and local factors.

The moose is Norway’s largest living land mammal, with a shoulder height of up to 2.3 metres. It usually moves alone and is most active at dawn and dusk. Therefore, the timing of the safari is adjusted to increase the chances of sightings.

What can you expect from a moose safari with a personal guide?

Together with experienced and knowledgeable local guides, we drive into forest areas with strong moose populations. The probability of seeing moose is high, and we may also spot red deer and roe deer along the way. During the tour, we take a short outdoor break where coffee, biscuits, and a small taste of moose sausage are served.

Feel free to bring a camera, as the lighting conditions often provide excellent photo opportunities.
