Hiking in
the mountains may last 4 -5 hours, so
you need to stay hydrated, bring something to drink
and pack a lunch bag
Check the weather report and
bring
comfortable
clothing for the weather, like durable rain gear,
suitable hiking boots, and a hat for the hotter days.
You may also bring cameras
to take pictures of the
breathtaking views of nature and the animals, but you'll be warned not to go
too close to the musk oxen. This is not recommended nor permitted. There
have been reports of domesticated Musk Oxen in Alaska. The animals in Dovre
Mountain Area are not!
